Books, my biggest vice and greatest pleasure. From as early as I can remember mom always encouraged my reading. As I grew older and my tastes evolved from "see spot run" through "I do not like green eggs and ham" to eventually settle in on science fiction as a pre-teen, she would extend our meager budget to buy me any science fiction book she would find on the bargain tables at the store. She didn't always look too closely at exactly what the book was about, just that it was Science Fiction. As a result I occasionally got bit more of an earlier education on some subjects than she had intended. But it did certainly keep my interest in reading alive which continues to this day. Thanks Mom for all the hours and pages of enjoyment and learning that you made possible.
