We pull into Laughlin about an hour later and find a place to park There was
just a "few" bikes around. Not
all of them seemed to be to clear on the concept of signs or maybe they
just couldn't read. Later in the day I noticed a number of Cops hanging out
here and a rather large empty space where a bunch of bikes used to be near
the sign. Not sure if they towed them or were just there to give a little
instruction on how to read. But it seemed to work.
We spent a little while wandering the
vendor tents then headed into one of the casinos for a run though the buffet.
Once we were well fortified, we were back to wandering. There were a lot more
vendors here then I saw in either Reno's Street Vibrations or Hollister. The
general quality of vendors was higher too. More actual parts and accessories,
less junk. Eventually we found our way to the Kawasaki tent, where Tom spent
most of time drooling over the orange custom classic.
Here he is trying to sneak up on it for another shot.
The Thunder tent was just around the corner from there, it was only 12:30 so
we dropped by quickly and said hello to 'Capt' Kirk before going off to see
the rest of the vendors. Did I mention there were a lot of vendors there?
Every casino's parking lot was full of tents. We spent the next 3 hours
wandering from lot to lot and checking out the sites. By then our feet were
starting to complain and it was time to meet up with the other VROCrs back
at the Thunder tent. Not sure what happened to everyone that said they were
going to be there, but we find Jack & Barb Foree along with Capt Krik, Tom and
myself. After shooting the breeze for a while we decide to meet up for dinner
over in Bull Head city at 5. Everyone headed off to their bikes to head to the
meeting place. Not having a hotel room in Laughlin, Tom, Scott and I got there
early and hung out in the shade a while watching the bikes cruise by.
